Apple Watch Edition Series
Apple Watch was first announced in September 2014 and was released in July 2015. It featured a glass front (Sapphire crystal), a ceramic back and 18-karat yellow/rose gold frame. It was rated as class IPX7 which had a water resistance up to 1 meter depth and a time of 30 minutes .
This is also referred to as the 1st generation of Apple Watches.
Over the years, Apple has released 7 versions of the Watch. The newest version is the Apple Watch 7 released in September 2021.
