edX is a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) provider created by Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) based in the United States of America.



edX offers more than 3000 courses to learners from all over the world and has seen about 100 million enrolments from approximately 35 million users. With 160 partners and about 15,000 instructors, edX has issued  a mind boggling 1.4 million verified course certificates.



Established in 2012, edX has evolved over the years.
